March is Women's History Month

Women's rights have been an ongoing issue, long before the women's right's movement of the 1920's. Women, for decades have done all that they could in their power to protect the rights of women, always looking forward to help the women of tomorrow. We owe our success to the freedom fighters that came before us. The blood, sweat, and tears they poured into their speeches and march's will not go forgotten.

It's important to remember during these tense political times that just because someone looks differently than you, practices a different religion, or loves someone so deep you can't comprehend, it doesn't mean that they are against you. We are all stronger together and all deserve to be celebrated equally.

Instead of letting confusion fester in your heart and turn to hate, try listening to those around you speaking out on the plight of the misunderstood. We as American's should embrace our differences and empower one another, strong empowered women, empower women.

Here’s to strong women, may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them
